Anna and Cooper had just purchased their two-story wood home and wanted to address the peeling, fading paint immediately. Top-Tier restored the exterior through extensive preparation and a durable Sherwin-Williams finish.
This exterior had extensive peeling paint and tall walls on every side. The crew scraped, sanded, primed, and caulked the wood before applying the finish coats.
Anna and Cooper were so pleased with the completed work that they referred Top-Tier to Anna's parents for their own painting project.
Read 200+ ReviewsThe completed rear elevation shows how careful preparation and a coordinated Stone Lion and Natural Linen palette brought this Lake Elmo exterior back to life.
Anna and Cooper had recently purchased this home and wanted to deal with the failing exterior paint before the peeling became a larger problem. Because the home is two stories with tall elevations, the work required careful access and extensive surface preparation.
Kevin and the crew pressure washed the exterior, scraped loose paint, sanded the wood, primed exposed areas, caulked joints, masked windows and fixtures, and protected the landscaping.
The preparation created a sound foundation for the finish coats and gave the siding, garage door, soffits, trim, porch, doors, railings, fascia, and architectural details a clean, unified appearance.
This project demonstrates why preparation matters on an older wood exterior with widespread peeling paint.
The homeowners had just purchased the property and wanted to address the faded, peeling paint right away. The amount of failing coating meant the crew could not simply wash and repaint the house.
Extensive scraping, sanding, priming, and caulking were required across the tall elevations. That preparation removed unstable paint, smoothed the wood, sealed joints, and created a stronger surface for the new coatings.
The final result gave the home a fantastic updated appearance designed to last—and the homeowners' referral to Anna's parents was a meaningful vote of confidence in the crew's work.
